Mission - Caring for Each Other
The English language Congregation is of moderate size and is a close knit and welcoming community, welcoming visitors and those seeking to find or strengthen their relationship with God.

We encourage our people to express their faith in God in the Community
We do this by:
- Caring for each other - showing the love of God
We recognise our people are our most important resource, we care for each other, showing the love of God
- by promoting a Ministry with Children in which
- adults minister to children by
- respecting them
- making them feel they are valuable members of the St James community
- appreciating what is appropriate for them
- giving them a sense of everyone growing in faith
- showing enthusiasm in their church and faith
- children minister to adults with gifts of
- laughter
- spontaneity
- aliveness
- vitality
- a sense of continuity with the past and future
- a fresh approach.
- by developing the Ministry of Pastoral Care to the members of the Congregation
- by building on networks within the parish to encourage our people to be mindful of the needs of individuals, families and groups, both in their public and more private lives.
- we listen to each other, share our joys, our sorrows and our triumphs.
- by supporting individuals and groups within the English language Congregation of St James.
- by encouraging people to visit and provide hospitality to each other
- by providing counselling services either directly or by referral to appropriate organisations
- by remembering people in our prayers and committing them to God
- by publishing and updating a handout publicising the concept of pastoral care as relevant to the English language congregation.
- by providing resources that help people to develop their prayer-life
- by maintaining an up-to-date data base of people and addresses for the distribution of the monthly newsletter "The Bush Telegraph".
- by maintaining and publishing a list of names and addresses of people involved or associated with the English language Congregation
- the list known as the "Who's Who" is published once a year - usually around June
